Jonathan Wilbourne

My name is Jonathan Wilbourne, by day I’m a professional businessman. By night, I’m a movie buff. I review my favourite movies, recent movies, and terrible movies and post them here…

Why Listen To Jonathan Wilboune?

I’ve been watching movies since I was a kid, like most of us. However I’ve always had an ability since being a child to cynically watch over and note every detail. I was first to point out a flaw, bad acting, a mistake with the writing.

Now it goes further… I’ve been writing reviews for years on various films. Going into more detail regarding characterisation, storytelling, pacing, directing… The list goes on.

I think finally sharing my reviews with the public on my very own website as Jonathan Wilbourne is a natural and obvious step forward now.

STAR WARS REVIEW

My all-time favourite childhood movie. I remember going to watch this 1977 classic with my brother at the cinema. Now I’ve produced a quick video review you can watch…

It’s more me fondly recounting my memories than reviewing the film. But it’s a bit of fun!

Keep watching and I’m even persuaded to do some hilarious Star Wars impressions. Judge for yourselves.

It seemed like the whole eighties was a great fan of the Oscar Wilde

It is almost 2016. These days you hear about a dinosaur movie getting released within a few months, you just distort your mouth and say almost with disgust: ‘Ugh! Another one !’ But back in our time (by which I mean the nineties) things were quite different. This is a movie which made this difference!
